The weekly reflection/journal are narratives, 600-750 words in length, describing your thoughts on at least two topics discussed during the week. One of the topics will be a prompt provided by the instructor. These prompts will often come from the Robles de Melendez and Beck (R&B) text and may be useful additions to your portfolio. The second item will be a topic, idea, practice or such that stood out to you. These are things that made you think more deeply about the subject. The journal narrative may also include how these ideas may be shaping or reshaping your practice and why you are looking at things from another perspective.
Prompt: After reading about the various ways one can approach multicultural curriculum in the classroom, what do you find challenging as you think about creating a multicultural environment?
NOTE: Journals are NOT a summary of what you have read or of the discussions.
